Country Roads presents ‘Music with Power to Heal’ concert

Country Music Foundation (CMF) together with Mount Lavania Hotel is presenting Country Roads Concert for children on October 5, 2014, at Mount Lavania Hotel terrace. Featured at the concert will be, Mavericks from Germany and US folk singer and song writer, Astrid Brook will play, and joining them are Cosmic Rays, Anno Domini, Country Revival band, featuring Feizal, Jury and Thilan Wijesinghe.

Commenting on the 2014 Country Roads concert for children, Feizal Samath, President – CMF said, “the foundation is excited to be working on a new project with Save The Children in enhancing the standard of living and the health status of women and children in plantations.”

Through her music, Astrid Brook supports CMF Sri Lanka, which works closely with children’s charities and raise money to fund specific projects to help kids.

The money raised, will be utilised to build school buildings, and provide learning and teaching materials, libraries and books.
