Spa Ceylon Luxury Ayurveda, opened its 3,000 square foot signature store and Ceylon Lounge in Japan’s Ginza shopping precinct. With this opening, Spa Ceylon is now the world’s largest luxury ayurveda chain with 45 locations across 12 countries.

The opening of the store was attended by Professor D Ganganath Dissanayake, the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Japan and many Japanese and Sri Lankan corporates.

Speaking at the opening, Shalin Balasuriya, Director and Co-founder, Spa Ceylon, stated, “We see a lot of potential for the Spa Ceylon brand in Japan. Even though this is a mature market with many international players and strong domestic brands as well, we feel that the proven, high performance formula with natural ingredients, luxury presentation and branding elements from Ceylon will set us apart and will be the key features of success for the brand in Japan.”

This is their second location in Japan following the opening of their boutique in Nihonbashi, Tokyo.
