Medcon organised the MHIGS Concert 2017, a concert for children and adults with cochlear hearing implants. The concert was held under the patronage of Dr Amal Harsha de Silva, Deputy Director General of Medical Services at the National Film Cooperation. Those with hearing impairments from ages two to 27, who were aided with the cochlear implant, took part in the concert. This included the compère of the event as well. A film on a one day workshop, which showed the opportunities given to the children to prove their self in society was also screened. Parents of performers, friends, doctors, medical students, donors and philanthropists attended the event.
