Avani Kalutara Resort presents a stunning new look with a refurbished lobby, rooms and suites, introducing new restaurant concepts and a grand ballroom decked in the brand’s signature bright colors.

The new look of the resort adds extra charm and vibe to the island’s southwest coast. Located an hour’s drive from the capital, Colombo, and a 55-minute drive from the airport, the resort showcases incredible surrounding views with the Indian Ocean on one side and a placid lagoon on the other.

Avani Ocean View Suites and Avani Ocean View Pool Suites are the latest additions to the property. Modern, tropical and spacious, the Avani Ocean View Pool Suites come with a private plunge pool and two spacious terraces. Besides these suite surprises, guests can experience the revamped Avani Deluxe Ocean View Rooms with views of the Indian Ocean and lagoon.

The 105 rooms and suites at the resort are airy, contemporary, and decked out with all the comforts of home. Each comes with a balcony, terrace or private pool courtyard overlooking the gardens, lagoon or ocean.

Dining at the resort is a casual affair, with wholesome cuisine from around the world served across five restaurants and bars, whether its a spicy curry on the beach, cocktail by the pool, or grab and go coffee fresh from the tantalising deli. The Karadiya Bar provides a picture-perfect experience, while guests can laze at the pool with stunning beach views enjoying tropical cocktails and snacks. In addition to a new pool bar experience, Avani brings its popular deli concept, The Pantry, to Sri Lanka’s sunny shores. Coffees to go, cold-pressed juices, artisanal sandwiches and freshly baked pastries all tempt with fresh aromas.

The Ganga ballroom with 360 ̊ views of the Indian Ocean, Kalu Ganga River and lagoon is designed to host special events and weddings. Other recreational facilities include a swimming pool surrounded by coconut trees, the 24-hour AvaniFit, a Glider Adventure Tower for ziplining and abseiling, and water sports on the lagoon.
