Hilton Colombo’s renowned Kitchen Apprentice Programme achieved another milestone when three young outstanding apprentices took flight to Hilton Dubai Jumeirah and the Hilton Residence & Creek. They will be continuing their Apprentice Programme to become reputed Chefs. Mohamed Infaz, Sunera Janith and Rashan John were selected from the current batch of Kitchen Apprentices to follow a three year training programme in Dubai.
The three year Kitchen Apprentice Programme is intricately deigned for budding culinary chefs to gain experience in creating Michelin Star cuisine while working in a world class kitchen. Hilton Colombo is also the first and the only hotel in
Sri Lanka currently approved to accept Culinary, Baking and Pastry Externs by the Culinary Institute of America.

Tourism is one of the world’s largest economic earners and training programmes such as the Kitchen Apprentice Programme will contribute more towards the development and training for young individuals, which will enhance the industry in the years to come.
