Iyantha Abeysinghe, the youngest Food and Beverage Manager in Colombo is now at Grand Oriental Hotel.
A student of Nalanda College Colombo he graduated from Ceylon Hotel School and School of Tourism in 2004 and became the most outstanding student in the Intermediate Level Food and Beverage Operations.
Following his passion since joining the Ceylon Hotel School he started his first job in 1999 as a Trainee Waiter at Hilton Colombo and grew within the industry as a Restaurant Manager in a very short period. In 2004 he got a chance to become the Banquet Operations Manager at Ceylon Continental Hotel. Iyantha continued to work around Colombo city and Overseas in chain hotels such as the Taj Samudra, Hilton Colombo Residence and Cinnamon Lakeside in several managerial positions before moving on to his current post as Food and Beverage Manager at Grand Oriental Hotel.
