Noritake Lanka Porcelain (NLPL) was awarded the Silver Award in the ‘Large Manufacturing’ category at the National Productivity Awards. There was no Gold award in this category and NLPL thus became the overall winner in this sector displaying their brand excellence.
“We are delighted with this award, which makes us the winner in this particular category. It not only inspires us, but also spurs us on to greater heights and do even better in our journey,” said Yoshinari Shimaya, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director – NLPL.
The Awards ceremony was organised by the National Productivity Secretariat under the Ministry of Productivity Promotion, based on a very comprehensive evaluation scheme. The primary objective of the competition is to improve productivity at all levels, since it is believed that productive enterprises in the country will result in a productive nation.
