Colombo Gourmet Week is the first, week-long food festival in Sri Lanka, celebrating food, wine and produce. The event is organised by Wine World, the online wine and spirits concierge service, in association with The Galle Face Hotel. The events will take place from August 7 – 28, 2016.
Guests will be able to sample a select group of wines and canapés/dishes that will be matched by international chefs and sommeliers. The tasting counters will be open to the public from August 22 – 26, 2016 with special offers on a selected range of wines.
The second stage of festivities will involve a selection of curated dinners from August 23 – 26, 2016. Diners can converse with the Chef and Sommelier during dinner.
The grand finale to this week of food and wine will be held on August 28, 2016. The event will begin with a fusion cuisine brunch, prepared by all the visiting chefs. The day’s events will continue into the evening with a scrumptious South African barbecue.
