Blue Ocean Group of Companies unveiled its plans in the real estate sector and other industries, at a celebration of its journey in Sri Lanka. Accordingly, the real estate sector of the Blue Ocean Group will soon be expanding to Kandy and Nuwara Eliya. The occasion was also the platform to launch the first real estate app in the country. S Thumilan, Chairman, Blue Ocean Group also revealed the company’s plans to build apartments
and housing units in London and Canada as part of its global expansion strategy. The group has ventured into the entertainment industry with the release of its maiden movie, Paatak Nethi Adarayak.
As part of the Group’s CSR initiative, four million rupees was donated to the prevention and eradication of chronic kidney disease in the country. In addition, one million rupees each was donated to the Ministry of Housing and Construction and the Ministry of Higher Education. One hundred scholarships were also awarded from KBBS Campus, a subsidiary of the Blue Ocean Group. Meanwhile the Company’s business partners were felicitated with awards of appreciation.
“I am indeed proud that my team and I have etched the name of the Blue Ocean Group in the annals of the country’s development history… I have been very keen in seeing that this group becomes the differentiator in the landscape we orperate in”, said S Thumilan speaking on the theme ‘Leading the Way to the Future’.
