This November 2025, CentreStage Productions—Sri Lanka’s acclaimed trailblazer in contemporary theater—brings audiences a spectacular new musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ timeless classic, A Christmas Carol.
The production marks a double milestone: the 24th anniversary of CentreStage Productions and the 30th year of its founder and visionary director, Jehan Aloysius, behind the scenes and now onstage as Ebenezer Scrooge.
Described as three years in the making, Aloysius’ A Christmas Carol – The Musical promises a festive celebration filled with original music, stirring performances, and dazzling stagecraft. Expect sumptuous costumes, evocative lighting, and CentreStage’s signature creative direction—transforming Dickens’ story of redemption, generosity, and the spirit of Christmas into an unforgettable experience for all ages.

The production features celebrated veterans Sean Amarasekara, Arjuna Wignarajah, Dion Nanayakkara, and Joanne Aloysius Rajaiyah, alongside rising stars Rachel Hettiarachchi and Chaitanya Perera. They are joined by talented young performers Kevin Larson, Arali Jayasundera, and others, creating a dynamic cast that bridges generations of Sri Lankan theater.
