Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo was awarded two coveted accreditions, the Best Five Star City Hotel Award and the Best Host Hotel Spa for the second consecutive year at the Sri Lanka Tourism Awards 2010 – 2011.
Best Five Star City Hotel Award has a criteria consisting of five sections covering product facilities, business plans, current marketing strategies and customer service and professional development of the respective hotel. Sustainable initiatives was one of the key factors that contributed to Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo’s success in the evaluation process. Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo is the only hotel in Sri Lanka to have received the Green Globe certificate three years in a row. Cinnamon Lakeside received this prestigious award for the second year running. The launch of 8 Degrees on the Lake, the first purpose built floating venue was crucial to the hotel’s victory.
The luxury spa at Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo, Azmaara Spa, was also acknowledged as the Best Host Hotel Spa for the same year. It is one of South East Asia’s leading wellness solution providers and offers a luxurious experience of Balinese massages with specialist massage therapists.
