Colombo Jewellery Stores opened its fifth showroom at the Dutch Hospital Shopping precinct in Colombo. The Jewellery Store, which has a history of over 90 years in the country chose this monumental building that dates over hundreds of years. The store, which is situated in the courtyard of the 17th Century Dutch Hospital, showcases a range of gold and white gold jewellery and will add a line of pens and watches to its collection of luxe items.
CEO of Colombo Jewellery Stores, Akram Cassim said,“It’s been a great privilege to be a part of this historic event where Dutch architecture, history and high fashion collaborate to give tourists and Sri Lankans a great new shopping experience.”
The Shopping precinct is an effort of The Tourism Development Authority and The Urban Development Authority. The opening ceremony was graced by Basil Rajapksa, Minister of Economic Development and Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Secretary to the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development.
