Colours of the Sun, a debut novel written by Rozaine Cooray was launched amidst a gathering that included Dian Gomes, CEO of MAS Intimates, Author (Capt) Elmo Jayawardena and a number of other invitees. Rozaine’s family and close friends were present during the launching ceremony. Speaking at the launch Capt Elmo Jayawardena said that Moratuwa, the hometown they both hail from has influenced Rozaine’s writing. According to Rozaine, the novel coming in the form of a series of letters between a mother and daughter, addresses a wide range of themes, including issues of identity, migration, ethnic/religious conflict, generational conflicts, God and dreams.
