The students of the International Hotel School (IHS) of Mount Lavinia Hotel initiated a CSR project to mark the opening of their new kitchen.
With the intention of making a contribution towards the betterment of under privileged children in the society, the first food items prepared in the new kitchen were offered to the children of the Camilla School in Mattegoda.
The Camilla School provides education to 45 orphaned and disabled children most of whom are poverty stricken. Commenting on the charity visit, the principal of IHS said, “Witnessing such joy as well as happiness on the faces of these children truly created a powerful impact on our students’ way of thinking”.
