The Red Lantern Vigil is an annual celebration held at the Galle Face Hotel and hosted by Sanjeev Gardiner, Group Chairman of Galle Face Hotel at the Galle Face Hotel, Colombo. The event celebrates the dawning of the festive season of Christmas.
This year the procession commenced after the flag lowering ceremony at the Classic entrance of the hotel followed by cocktails at the patio. Invitees purchased red lanterns at the venue and all proceeds were donated to the Deaf and Blind School at Ratmalana.
