Hilton Colombo commemorated its 25th anniversary with a special Street Cooking Food Festival featuring stations serving flavours from around the world, with 60 of the hotel’s finest chef’s cooking at the event.

Hilton’s Street Cooking Festival offered tantalizing dishes from a range of countries across the world including local specialities such as hoppers and kottu to Chinese Szechuan fried rice with chicken and assorted fried dim sum, Thai satays to Japanese sushi and tempura and Arabic shawaramas. Also available on the evening were appetizing giant German bratwurst which were cut and served on request, large American 25 cm submarines and 2.5kg Giant South African Chicken boerewors. Stalls offered fresh juices and a Long Bar to serve refreshing cocktails.
The evening included a line up of Sri Lankan acts with performances by contemporary artistes from the likes of Iraj, Bathiya and Santhush, Lahiru and Coreen Almeida and the Beat Box adding to the evening. Further entertainment acts for the evening includes Jananath and his band of drummers and the Hilton Colombo’s very own award winning Flair Bartender Dain who displayed his bartending skills.
This was a unique initiative by Hilton as they celebrated their 25 years of service and delivering on founder Conrad Hilton’s vision.
