Jetwing launched their newest offering to the hotel industry of Sri Lanka in the form of Hotel J, a brand new 35-room property in Negombo. The new hotel is positioned as a budget hotel and is to be the first in a line of such properties to be launched across the country.
The launch took place with the distinguished presence of Basil Rajapaksa, Minister of Economic Development. Speaking at the launch Hiran Cooray, Chairman – Jetwing Group commented, “circumstances were such that we could not build any further than the approvals we had. Therefore, we decided to do something different to what Jetwing has done so far. That is to build a smaller hotel. Even though the ownership and the management are from Jetwing we thought we will call it a different name, which is Hotel J, with the idea that we can take this concept to other parts of the country.”
The hotel offers affordable accommodation to travellers and features 35 rooms inclusive of a suite, swimming pool and bar.
