Many foodies, both Sri Lankans and expats, participated in the ‘North to South Food Festival’ at the Pegasus Reef Hotel.
The diversity of the nation was represented through Sri Lankan cuisine, highlighting local ingredients, customs and seasons. The festival was unique in terms of not just being a one stop arena to enjoy a variety of Sri Lankan cuisine, but also as a place where family and friends could enjoy a fun-filled holiday.
Sri Lanka’s indigenous people ‘The Veddas’ were also invited to take part in the festival. It was a rare chance for all guests to meet these members of a vanishing tribe, see their talents and watch their live cooking and entertainment.
