Colombo Courtyard celebrated its second anniversary amidst a gathering of distinguished personalities and well-wishers.
The journey of the property began with the recycling and renovation of three existing buildings back in March 2012. A project of Sunela Jayawardene, it is a unique architectural creation where the preservation of the existing material has been incorporated into the boutique property demonstrating recycling and re-creation mastery. The work of Prageeth Manohansan stands tall at the lobby where an iconic feature of the property, the “Bicycle Tree” among others are positioned.
The property situated in the heart of Colombo city is nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the city and offers much desired privacy to its visitor. The venue holds 32 rooms including 15 suites, two dinning spaces, Scarlet Room (Italian Restaurant)—an all-day dining restaurant, Cloud Café—a rooftop restaurant to dine under the sky, an industrial themed Loft Lounge Bar, Amber Spa, hotel gymnasium, plunge pool, picturesque pool, a well stocked library and a business centre.
Catering to a buzzing nightlife atmosphere, Courtyard has initiated many concept events including jazz, movie and karaoke nights.
