Ranil Perera and his wife of Sleek Salon was recognised for their contribution to the sector of hair and beauty care at the Mass Sri Lanka Awards 2013.
Since its inception in 1962, Sleek Salon has journeyed on through tireless efforts of its founder Late M L Morley Perera and his son Ranil Perera who took over the business operations after his demise.
The company was able to see a growth in their activities in the 1990’s that coincided with the renovation which occurred in order to provide an enhanced service to their customers.
Quality and safety are two virtues that Sleek Salon value and always strive to provide to their customers, and hence the hygiene and sterilisation of equipment used, towels, sheets and even the employees are examples of such. The products used for customers are directly purchased from the importer and is disposed three months prior to expiry.
“What separates us from the stereotypical Salons is that unlike many of them, we always provide a value for money service while providing a comfortable environment. We not only value ‘Beauty Culture’ but ‘Service Culture’ as well,” said Ranil Perera commenting on the achievement.
