Much loved for its laidback lifestyle, the milky waves of the sea that lap against the edges of the city, the greenery that competes with the skyscrapers that shoot up along the skyline, the narrow waterways that gently flow through the city and the colonial buildings that still stand proud… Colombo exudes old world charm during the day. Come evening, it turns into a city of fairy lights and it is as metropolitan as it gets. There is no better place to watch my city transform from day to night than from the rooftops of the high-rise buildings in town.
