Hilton Colombo presented the “Ultimate Soccer Sensation” at the Il Ponte/Poolside which was transformed into a soccer stadium, with a line up of activities for sports lovers, but also something for everyone to enjoy.
Patrons watched matches live on a super-huge video wall in addition to other monitors around the open air soccer field. There was also music for entertainment, colourful Brazilian dance acts, daily draws and competitions for fans to take part in.
“The FIFA World Cup is the most anticipated sporting event in the world with billions glued to the television sets when the games are on and we are happy to make it a special event at the Hilton Colombo,” said Manesh Fernando, General Manager – The Hilton Colombo. Daniel Leah, Executive Chef – The Hilton Colombo, and his kitchen team, provided a range of Brazilian delicacies, along with everyone’s favourites.
The Soccer Village is open from 7.00pm onwards till July 14 with food and beverage kiosks, entertainment, competitions and more.
