Peacock Beach Hotel is undergoing a refurbishment to upgrade the hotel to a 4 star property in time for the World Cup matches in Hambantota. The 100 roomed hotel will upgrade all the rooms to give an ultra modern interior with a range of in-room facilities to cater to tourists expected in the cricket season.
Dulani Guruge, Managing Director is positive that Sri Lanka will attract quality tourism with the upgrading of hotel facilities throughout the island and Peacock’s initiative to expand and upgrade to a luxury hotel is in line with the local and tourism expectations for high quality hospitality services. According to Dulani the hotel is doing a complete turnkey solution not only in rooms and all public areas but also with back-end, such as a state-of-the-art kitchen with catering facilities done in accordance with HASAP standards, integrated software solutions and skilled human resources to provide an unparallel service.
The hotel is positive the team at Peacock is ready to meet with the expected high occupancy as well conference and seminar facilities required due to the business development in Hambantota.
Facilities that will be available at the hotel upon completion of the renovation include main restaurant with international buffet and á-la-carte menu option, coffee shop, main bar and pool bar, speciality Thai restaurant, conference and banquet hall, business centre (multimedia/Wifi/fax/photocopier services), gym with cardio and sculpting areas, main pool and poolside infinity pool with jacuzzi.
