Mount Lavinia Hotel unveiled four blue plaques featuring four former British Governors. The plaques are installed in the main entrance of the hotel to symbolise the historical link between the hotel and the former Governors; namely Sir Thomas Maitland, Sir Robert Brownrigg, Sir Edward Paget and Sir Edward Barnes. Acquired by Mount Lavinia Hotel from Britain, the four plaques mark the historical link between the two countries.
