At the Culinary Art Competition 2011 organised by the Chef’s Guild of Lanka, the Galadari Hotel walked away with 23 medals in various categories including, Beverage Challenge Mocktail, Beverage Challenge Cocktail and Cargills Snack – High tea menu competitions.
Shashike Sooriyabandara won the Gold medal for Beverage Challenge Mocktail/Class 20 Competition in which he blended his two winning Mocktails “Guawa Fiesta” and “Red lips”.
Winning the Gold in the Beverage Challenge Cockatil/ Class 21 Competition, Kanishka Wijerathne shook up an Arrack Cocktail named “A Ray of Hope”.
Asanka Sanjeewa bagged the All Island Gold Medal for the “Cargills Snack – High tea menu” category as he put forth a spread fit for a refined high tea experience.
