Mobitel proudly sponsored the 112th Battle of the North encounter between the traditional rivals St. John’s Jaffna and Jaffna Central College. The Big Match between the two Jaffna schools commenced in March 2018. The battle of the North is the oldest playing big match in the peninsula of Jaffna. This annual sporting encounter between the two leading colleges in Jaffna was eagerly anticipated by students, past pupils, teachers and cricket fans in general in the region.
