Cinnamon Grand held its annual ‘Grand Quiz’ for staff based on general knowledge with the aim of building team spirit and enhancing their knowledge. Anton Hallock was the Quiz Master for the event while a total of nine teams representing Front Office, Food and Beverage, Finance, Banquets, Kitchen, Sales, Housekeeping, Engineering and Angsana participated in the three hour event.
The winners of the Grand Quiz was the Finance Team comprising of Yehiya Arshad, K G Piyaratne, Fazal Cader and Channa Wijethilake who walked away with the coveted Grand Trophy, whilst the second and third places were won by the Sales and Marketing team consisting of Thilanka Muthukumarana, Asanka Fernando, Shehan Wanigaseka, Dilshan Perera, Sean Paul, Senaka Thushara and Priyanjith Paanabokke. The lucky winners were gifted with four dinner for two vouchers, Keells vouchers as well as beverages and other prizes.
This event was organised by the hotel’s Training Department together with the Human Resources team.
