A boutique hotel in Kalpitiya, the St Anne’s Lagoon House is spacious and the chic contemporary design is infused with touches of traditional furniture and ornamentation. Sitting on the banks of the Kalpitiya Lagoon the five rooms of the hotel provide purified water and a constant supply of electricity. They also afford scenic views of the Lagoon.
The hotel provides boating tours of the lagoon and also dolphin and whale watching expeditions from November to May. Between May and October kite surfing school open up on the beach and the hotel affords the ideal base from which to set out kite surfing.
A professional chef serves up mainly seafood, fresh from the Kalpitiya Lagoon. Specialising in lobster, crab and prawn dishes, the menu also includes Sri Lankan and continental food.
