FACETS Sri Lanka 2012, International Gem and Jewellery show is scheduled to be held from September 5 – 8, this year at the BMICH.
FACETS Sri Lanka 2012, International Gem and Jewellery show will be held for the 22nd consecutive year.
“FACETS Sri Lanka is a meeting place for products and people,” said Juzar Adamaly, Chairman of FACETS Sri Lanka. “We are proud to host this exhibition because buying from Sri Lanka means buying directly from the source.”
FACETS Sri Lanka this year will be replete with a showcase of some of the most famous gemstones such as the Ceylon Sapphire as well as more rare and expensive gem stones. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to enjoy the first hand experience to see and buy jewellery and gemstones which will be on display at the event. FACETS Sri Lanka 2012, will also host a jewellery design segment, best cutter competition and booths dedicated to the SME sector.
Sri Lanka’s customs authorities and the National Gem and Jewellery Authority collaborated on a process at the customs meant to simplify and streamline procedure. The move was made to reduce costs and delays, which have been causing obstacles for international jewellers. This move further assists those who are interested in investing in Sri Lanka’s Gem and Jewellery sector.
