“Queen of Curries”—Felicia Sorensen was back to cook up a range of curries together with Chef Karu at Hilton Colombo’s authentic outdoor Sri Lankan restaurant, the Curry Leaf. Knighted by her native island Sri Lanka, Felicia Sorensen’s knighthood was in recognition of her promotion of Sri Lankan cuisine throughout the world of which she has earned the respect of countless hotels, restaurants and clients.
Diners could enjoy an extensive array of designer hoppers with cheese and chilli, ham and garlic, green chilli, milk hoppers with juggary and more. In addition to the variety of speciality hoppers, there was a fresh seafood display where diners could chose their own seafood and prepared it a la minute by the experts, according to their preference. Mutton roti, pol roti, pittu, various yams along with Jaffna crab curry, fire work prawns, old fashioned pickled pork, spicy mutton curry, devilled fish roe with string hoppers and seasonal vegetable curries for vegetarians along with a spectacular range of desserts were part of the buffet.
