Following the success of the first ever French Spring in Sri Lanka held in 2012, Alliance Française de Kotte in Colombo in collaboration with the French Embassy and a large number of partners are set to bring to life the French Spring Festival from June 18 to July 14, 2013.
The festival will kick off with a singing competition, and will go on with more musical items featuring artists in the calibre of Julius beat boxing, Music Matters, Paranoid Earthling, Stigmata, Peshala Peshkar – Academy of Performing Arts and the renowned French gypsy jazz ensemble Caravan Quartet.
Two exhibitions are also scheduled to take place, one by Senaka Abeyratne featuring photography to create a parallel between Southern France and Sri Lanka and another about water in our planet.
French Spring will host much more in the way of music, dance, street art, fashion shows, film screenings, visual arts exhibitions, gastronomy and conferences.
