Galle Face Hotel together with the assistance of the Great Place to Work® Institute conducted a two day interactive “journey” workshop. With the aim of building a great team and a good place to work, the workshop focused on the quality of the interactions between managers and their teams. Senior Associate Anantadeb Bandyopadhyay, of the institute, conducted the sessions.
The management of Galle Face Hotel conceptualised P.R.I.D.E. as the umbrella branding for all hotel team members’ action and activity. P.R.I.D.E. stands for building “Positive Relationships with Integrity, Dignity and through Engagement”. The hotel recognises that having a great team is the key to delivering good service, and P.R.I.D.E. is an integral part of this.
Tony Fleming, General Manager – Galle Face Hotel noted, “A team that is engaged in P.R.I.D.E. evokes feelings of excitement with the passion to work hard and build and maintain a foundation of a truly great place to work. This is what we want the Galle Face Hotel to continue to be.”
