The British Car Day was organised by the Classic Car Club of Ceylon at The Kingsbury with the support of SML Frontier Automotive, sole agents for Land Rover in Sri Lanka. This event gave the public an opportunity to feast their eyes on some spectacular cars of British manufacture, including Aston Martin, Lotus, MG, Triumph, Rolls Royce, Austin, Morris, Ford and many more. More than 65 British-manufactured classic cars participated in this rally to celebrate British Car Day in Sri Lanka, which began at Town Hall grounds and made its way to The Kingsbury, where these cars were displayed for all classic car enthusiasts to feast their eyes on.
The Kingsbury made this event a vast celebration by putting together a buffet spread for Sunday Brunch, which gave true meaning to its name; Classic British Brunch. The spread included a variety of mouthwatering delicacies from British mainland such as Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding, Mushroom and Kidney Pie, Pates and Terrines and much more.
