Blue Line company launched Rajadhani Express, luxury service coaches in an intercity train travelling from Colombo to Kandy and back. The service is facilitated by the Government and operated by the Sri Lanka Railways.The launch of the public/private sector participatory project was officiated under the patronage of Kumar Welgama, Minister of Transport.The luxury coaches attached to the trains are fully air-conditioned, carpeted and offer first class toilet facilities, free Wi-Fi, side racks to store passenger luggage, on board snacks, tea/coffee and are serviced by stewards.
