Mobitel announced the winners of the Mobitel Cash Bonanza lucky draw. Part of the ceremony were events and carnivals to entertain the audience.
U D I Gunarathna from Welimada was announced the lucky winner of the brand new Mercedes Benz. The winner of the cash prize of 1,000,000 rupees was R M Rathnawathi from Kurunegala while M Liyanage from Matara won the cash prize of 500,000 rupees. The 2018 Cash Bonanza gives away brand new Mercedes Benz cars for selected winners while customers are also eligible to win cash prizes worth over 190 million rupees through the daily and quarterly draws.
Throughout the year, Mobitel will select winners on a daily basis. The selected daily winners will be entitled to cash prizes worth up to 500 rupees.
Mobitel is the first operator in the mobile telecommunication industry in the country to carry out a promotion of this magnitude. The promotional campaign started with the awarding of a total of 24 Montero Jeeps in the years 2016 and 2017.
Since the beginning, the promotion has been upgraded to give away brand new Mercedes Benz cars this year. Mobitel pre-paid, post-paid and broadband customers are eligible to take part in the draw.
