The Palms Beruwala receives ISO 22000:2005 and HACCP certifications

The Palms Beruwala marked a milestone recently with the awarding of the ISO 22000:2005 and HACCP certifications, being the first hotel in the Colombo Fort Hotels Group to receive such a certification.

The certifying body, Ind-Expo Certification, was represented at this ceremony by Shantha Kuruppumullage, Director/CEO, Felicia Weerawardena, Quality Manager and Aruna Amaradasa, Certification Manager.

Ishani Senaratne, Resident Manager – Palms Beruwala stated, “ISO 22000 and HACCP are considered to be by far the most versatile international standards in Food Safety Management, covering all organisations in the food chain from “Farm to Fork”. Especially in this day and age, where the travellers are well informed—having the right kind of certifications to back your products and services, play a very important and valuable role.”
