Platinum 1: Where You Live Matters

Exterior of Platinum 1 once completed

It is a sanctuary of peace that exists within the heart of a lively city. It is comfort that pampers your body and soul, luxury that transcends the ordinary, the promise of absolute safety and security. It is a space that defines who you are, that is a reflection of the beauty and dignity that you desire in life. Platinum 1 is a blend of all this, and more.

Words Ayesha Inoon

Every apartment in this ultra modern, 20-storey building will be a work of art, from the stunning sea and city vistas visible from its windows to the artistic and modern fittings within. “We are the only project in Colombo that launched after the completion of the super structure,” says Kishore Reddy, Director of Platinum Realty Investments. He eplains that this gives customers the security of knowing their investment is secure by giving them the ability to see and visualise their homes in addition to the flexibility of choosing their own fittings and décor, so that each home reflects the unique touch of its owner.

The 66 apartments come in six different designs and have either three or four bedrooms. Home-owners will be able to choose from a range of options such as having a maid’s room, textured painting, natural wooden or porcelain tiled floors, wall-skirting to match the floor, doors of solid timber or engineered wood that is natural or painted and custom designed kitchen cabinets. The four duplex penthouses occupying the upper two floors are the ultimate in luxury living, with their own individual plunge pools, a unique feature in local apartment complexes.

“Many people will call it a landmark, but only 70 families will call it home,” says Reddy. He adds that the highly residential address of Bagatalle Road is given an extra layer of prestige with the addition of the number one, making Platinum 1 what he calls the ‘finest address in Colombo’.

From its very address to the amenities provided within, Platinum 1 is all about exclusivity where tenants can be certain of an elite way of life that combines beauty and luxury with advanced technological conveniences. Among these is automatic valet parking, the first of its kind in Sri Lanka, where all one has to do is drive the car into one of three designated elevators. The computerised system then automatically recognises the correct slot and parks the car in the building’s car park, which has been identified as the highest-density car park in the country. Yet another first is the post-tensioning residential slabs that are resistant to geological tremors, a necessity in terms of natural disasters.

On the fourth floor of the building is the residential lobby, where guests may make themselves at home until you are ready to receive them. Additionally  on this floor are a modern meeting room for those impromptu business meetings as well as family gatherings or parties, lavish swimming pool with a children’s area for those lazy weekend afternoons, and a state-of-the-art gymnasium that enables you to maintain your fitness routine without having to step out of the building.

Having given the utmost attention to the privacy and security of residents, every entrance in the building is access-controlled, including the elevators, swimming pool and gymnasium. While residents will possess access cards, visitors will need to obtain prior permission for entry. CCTV monitored 24-hour building security will be in progress as well.

Platinum 1 is set to redefine the concept of luxury living in Sri Lanka. Apart from the condominiums, the ground to third floor of the building also occupies 60,000 square feet of commercial space, and is home to premium retail establishments.

An address that is synonymous with success and prestige and a home that reminds you every single day that you hold your dreams in the palm of your hand – this, is what you will achieve when you own a part of the celebrated building, Platinum 1.
