Departing from the usual hotel concept, the atmosphere at Pledge 3 exuded a distinctive aura. True to its motif of tranquillity, the lobby with a minimalistic design leads up to a courtyard with a wooden floor, and its entrance at the other end offers a glimpse of the pool and the public spaces of the hotel. The farther end of the courtyard directs one to the poolside and the hotel’s main restaurant and pub—Jive Galley and Retro Pub.
Both Jive Galley and Retro Pub are set in open spaces that lavishly afford picturesque views of the pool. At dusk, the setting is extremely mesmerising as the twilight blissfully blends with the ambience of the restaurant, creating the perfect backdrop for a romantic dinner. The restaurant offers everything from international, continental, Indian, Chinese to authentic Sri Lankan. But, unlike in a traditional restaurant, at Jive Galley, guests could order anything of their choice and witness how it is being prepared at the open kitchen. And if need be, you can even select the ingredients and get it prepared exactly the way you like.
