At Sigiriya
The first edition of Raid Amazones was successfully concluded with the participation of 253 participants and 63 foreign operational staff in the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka. Organized by the Connaissance De Ceylan, the Raid Amazones program spanned five days promoting tourism and the island’s vibrant culture and heritage. The participants had a wonderful opportunity to experience beautiful landscapes as well as admire the island’s rich historical city of Sigiriya.

The female participants of Raid Amazones had the opportunity to take part in a range of activities such as: trail running (16km) from Sigiriya Pollathawa to Wewala Wewa; crossing country roads, paddy fields, jungles, waterways, lakes, and canal banks; biking and running (19km) from Digampathana Sigiriya to Mahaelgamuwa traversing Thibalawa Wewa, Bellanakadawala Wewa, Maha Wewa, and Moragasa Wewa; escape games and cultural exchange at Sigiriya and Pidurangala; mountain biking (40km) from Bisobandara Maha Devalaya on the Kaudulla Bunt Cross authentic villages, Kaudulla Wewa and Nabada Wewa; and trail running (10km) from Sigiriya Nawa Nagaraya to the area near Pethangala crossing Halmilla Wewa, Siyabalankotuwa Wewa and Pahalagama Wewa.
