Great Place to Work institute in Sri Lanka felicitated the ‘Top 15 Best Companies to Work for’ in the country after a comprehensive study done in partnership with the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
Taj Samudra won this award for the second consecutive year and was the only hotel to be amongst the top 15. The ceremony was held amidst a large gathering of distinguished invitees from various organisations.
Great Place to Work institute did an evaluation of the organisations such as notable practices of the companies with regards to employee betterment, company practices which can be benchmarked by other companies, about organisational practices such as hiring employees, the way of welcoming new staff to the company, methods used to inspire, freedom of speech, methods of listening to employees, employee engagement activities, grievance handling procedures, ways of thanking employees, employee training and development, balancing work life and personal life, supporting employees in need, diversity in work-force and giving equal opportunity for all, celebrating employee success events, rewarding employees and contribution of organisation to the society.
