Shehan Grigson of Galle Face Hotel Colombo won the first place for Classical and Best tasting Cocktail at the 21st National Bartenders Cocktail and flaring competition 2012 in association with Marie Brizard, SKYY Vodka and Monin organised by the Ceylon Hotel School Graduates Association.
This was the first time in 20 years both categories was won by the same bartender. The focus of the competition was on the competitors’ overall image, communication skills, knowledge, mixing techniques as well as the quality of their drinks.
Shehan Grigson will participate in the World’s best flavored Marie Brizard cocktail competition in Paris and for the Best Innovative Cocktail for Asia Pacific Region in Singapore this year.
