The Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union (SLASU) held its 75th Annual Mount Lavinia Sea Swim in association with the Mount Lavinia Hotel.
The sea swim drew over 700 swimmers between the ages of 12 years and 70 years and the individual events were won by two ardent swimmers from two schools in Kandy.
The two mile sea swim, which is iconic with the Mount Lavinia Hotel and its location is incidentally one of the oldest open water swimming competitions in Asia, having seen participants passing down the title from generation to generation over the years.
