An exhibition of paintings titled ‘Social Network’ was held at Paradise Road Galleries by artist Chamila Gamage. Working with acrylics, oils and mixed media, this was the artist’s fourth solo exhibition. Hailing from the Hambantota District, Gamage initially put to use his artistic talents creating pandols, temple paintings, woodcarvings, bridal ‘poruwas’ and designs for banners. Moving to Colombo during the 1990s, Gamage joined the Vibhavi Academy of Fine Art, where he honed his natural talent. His latest exhibition explored the concept of social networking through art.
