The Destiny Mall and residency developed by Imperial Builders is well underway. A subsidiary company of the Lakhani Group of Karachi, Imperial Builders commenced construction of the development while 48 percent of the apartments were already sold in the space of six months. The apartments were bought by both Sri Lankan and foreign nationals and Imperial Builders estimates the apartments to be sold out by end of 2013.
Concurrent to the construction of the Mall and Residency, work is also underway to relocate 118 families as well as railway authority families that need to be moved in order to progress with the development. This is undertaken as a CSR initiative. The Destiny Mall and Residency is due to complete construction in June 2017.
