In celebration of Hilton Colombo’s 25th anniversary, Geoff & Friends, adjoined by local band Purple Rain, returned for a reunion concert. The charismatic Geoffrey Fernando led a band composed of some of the most talented names in the field of local western music.
The concert was presented by Colombo nightclub Rhythm and Blues (R&B) and Imran Pakir Saibo from Fun Time Productions.
The evening took the audience on a nostalgic journey to re-live the glory days of the western music scene in Sri Lanka. Besides Geoffrey Fernando leading Purple Rain with the backing of Mirage, the concert boasted several other entertainers like Noeline Honter, Corrine De Almeida, Rajitha Rupasinghe, Russell Fernando, Debra Rabot and Gehan Fernando.
Commenting on the concert, Rudolf Tröstler, General Manager – Hilton Colombo said it was ‘‘a dazzling night transporting the audience back to the golden days of western music scene in Sri Lanka.’’
