The state dinner inspired by Chef Walter Scheib was recently held at Mount Lavinia Hotel at the Empire Ballroom amongst a distinguished gathering. The ambience created by the MLH team was much admired by the guests.
Walter Scheib’s forte lies in serving up a taste in stories and recipes of his eleven years as the White House chef under Presidents Bill Clinton and George W Bush. The highlight of the evening was the American cuisine and formal state dinner recipe creations, which dazzled and delighted guests.
Chef Walter’s enthusiastic stage presence along with the police band won a place in the audience during the latter part of the evening. The dinner was more of an interaction between the chef and the audience as opposed to a sit down dinner. There were very interesting questions directed at the chef about his unforgettable experience during his time of service to the First Family. The evening comprised of anecdotes, photographs, menus, and special White House recipes revealed by the chef.
