Needle Creations showcased some of its finest pieces at the annual Christmas exhibition held for the second consecutive year.
The display and sale featured some of the best creations in shadow work, appliqué, hardanger, Sri Lankan and Brazilian embroidery, patch work, ribbon work, black work, cross stitch, needle painting, Ruskin lace, stump work and candle wicking.
The Needle Creations academy is managed by Ramani Liyanage and Shamini Rockwood who have received extensive training in needlecraft in America, New Zealand, Australia and Sri Lanka.
They teach the art of needlework to both novices and professionals through modern methods. The courses are conducted in three languages. Needle Creations, situated in a picturesque setting near the Diyawana Lake in Pelawatte, features materials required for needle craft, books for reference and is a space for student creations.
