Jason Cooley has joined the Galle Face family as the hotel’s recently appointed General Manager. Jason Cooley, an Australian, began by working in Australia, South Asia, the South Pacific and the Maldives. Having worked for some of the leading hotels around the world Jason Cooley has now come to Sri Lanka to make a positive difference to the Galle Face Hotel.
“We have a five year plan that is currently in operation for the hotel, which will include a few renovations that are scheduled to take place. However, it is not our intention to harm or spoil the original grandeur of the hotel. We hope to retain the charm and beauty of the hotel’s yesteryear whilst enhancing its beauty in every manner possible and thereby build it up to the proper level that does due justice to the ‘Grand Old Lady’. We are also looking at successfully catering to the younger generation, so one should expect some very welcoming changes to take place through our five-year transition period,” said Jason Cooley.
