Thalis Restaurant that specialises in authentic North and South Indian vegetarian cuisine received the award for Food Safety Excellence upon completion of one year. The award was presented by the Colombo Municipal Council. The restaurant was acknowledged for the award under categories: hygienic conditions and taste of food, and as they step into the new year, this award sets a benchmark for high quality services in the future. Thalis was one of the three vegetarian restaurants to be nominated for the award and having won this accolade, Thalis stands out for its sincere service.
